Mike the book you are referring to is Woodcarving Illustrated By Roger Schroeder and Paul McCarthy. I carved with Paul for many years and now he is the master carver in Nantucket,island off the coast of Mass.I'm not sure that the book is still in print, but it was publihed by Stackpole books.The name of the project was project #5 The Gold Panner.If more info is needed let me know and I will try and get it for you. fred k
