Enlow pattern My way

  Started this cowboy from a harold Enlow pattern and changed him up a bit I dont like copying the masters exactly thanks for looking

 This is from a pattern from an old Harold Enlow book enjoyed carving this hope you enjoy.

The Moose

 The Moose was a one day project started in the afternoon and put the tung oil on by 9 o'clock that night didn't put any paint on wanted to show the grain and it does show .

Rockstar

 Well this is my take on a Pete Leclair  pattern . This of course is for one of the girls at work . Emerald is a record collector so I carved this up and mounted him on a stack of records that i created on my lathe sorry that's not shown on these pics .

Another carving

 This octoberfest character is an original design drawn up by my talented niece. It was carved for an employee who is originally from germany .I tried to create a different carving for each girl .

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Next carving

 Another of the carvings I carved  for on of the girls from  work  .It was from the christmas special issue from wci  not this years though . My own take on it the face is its second didnt like the first so carved it off and redid it burnt the hair and the lashes for something different

 Here is one of my latest carvings  a santa claus for one of the girls at the work  It started as a pattern from wci  then i changed it to my style . its painted with acrylics and sealed with minwax poly

Summer

Sorry I haven't posted lately but you know how summer is busy with so many other things that just didnt have time to add pics here I will post some pics in the next couple of days . Ihave 2 projects done and ready to show you . I working on a third project now that should be done within the next week .So stay tuned for all these projects real soon.

Sorry about that haven't stopped carving just haven't been able to show my work making carvings for each girl at work and don't want them to see them . Have completed at least one evry other week will post them when I give them to them . Have made another 2 knives will take some pics of them soon

Well I have started work on two more knives taking my time when they are done I will take some pics and post them . This Sunday I will be traveling to the first roundup in Ontario should have pics of that to so keep checking .

Making a knife

Well i think i was successful at my first attempt at knife making will have pics soon just have to finish it it the next couple days . I made the blade from an old straight razor and the handle is walnut I shaped the way I wanted to.
